The J-List is a new way to connect Manawatu writers, producers and directors of biblically-themed performing arts events with an interested group of potential auditionees who may wish to be involved as actors, singers, dancers, backstage, lighting, sound, and other production crew.

The J-List is an anonymous, moderated opt-in email list (there is also a telephone list for non-email contacts) managed by a real person (not an automated listserv) for the non-profit purpose of making it easier for directors to find like-minded cast and crew for theatrical events of a biblical flavour.

Anyone with an interest in Biblical theatre can join the J-List, you don’t have to be a Christian but please note when responding to any calls for auditions that some directors may expect or require certain levels of Christian commitment.

You can opt-out at any time, and privacy of information is respected. Individual email addresses and details of J-List members are neither broadcast nor given to enquirers, except announcements will carry contact details for people to reply to.

How does it work? You register your details, and they are added to the J-List. When event organisers send a request to the J-List, it is then (if considered appropriate) forwarded on to all.

It is up to individual members to act on announcements and make contact with the organisers of shows they are interested in. The J-List does not guarantee organisers that there will be some, or even any, replies to any given request or notice of audition that is forwarded to the J-List.
